"I'm a professional forester with many years of forest plantation and
wood industry experience in Jamaica and Ghana. As executive secretary
of The Forest Conservancy, I am particularly interested in mobilising
investment in commercial timber on idle arable lands, integrated
watershed management to mitigate the impact of climate change and the
possibility of bio-energy generation that could enhance Jamaica's
national energy conservation prospects. My involvement in JTGA offers
every scope for realizing these interests by working with members as
well as landowners, investors and commmunities."

"Jamaica is fortunate to have the natural recourses it has, however
they are being abused at an alarming rate. One of these resources is
our lumber. With better forest management, replanting and
harvesting techniques the lumber industry will thrive. I am
deeply involved the lumber industry from planting, cutting, selling to
designing and having furniture made and I am very excited to be apart
of the Jamaica Tree Growers Association and the development of the
lumber industry."
